TACOMA DOME
An iconic landmark of the South Sound and largest event venue in the region, this indoor arena is the preferred stage for famous artists, exhibition shows, graduations and ceremonies. The diverse venue hosts more than 300 events a year and attracts over a million fans annually. Opening in 1981 with David Bowie as the introductory performer, the site has shaped the cityscape of Tacoma, and become an integral part of its skyline. As one of the largest wood domed structures in the world, not to mention phenomenal acoustics, this venue recently completed a thirty million dollar renovation to maintain its paramount presence in the Northwest.
