Athletics at the University of Washington in Seattle

Member of the Pacific-12 Conference, the Washington Huskies athletic program is made up of 9 men’s sports (baseball, basketball, crew, cross country, football, golf, soccer, tennis, and track & field) and 10 women’s sports (basketball, crew, cross country, golf, gymnastics, soccer, softball, tennis, track & field, and volleyball).

Husky Stadium is home to the University of Washington football team. Opened in 1920, Husky Stadium is known for being one of the loudest stadiums in college football, and was voted the most scenic football structure in the nation. In addition, some game attendees looking to tailgate before games arrive on boats because the stadium is so close to Lake Washington – an experience you’ll have a hard time finding at other universities. Finally, Husky Stadium is known to be the largest stadium in the Northwest with a seating capacity of 72,500.
